KOSHIGAYA PARK

Public BBQ

This spacious park opened in 1985 as part of a sister city relationship with Koshigaya City, Japan, and showcases traditional Japanese cultural elements throughout its design. The park offers BBQ tables spread across the grounds, with plenty of undercover seating areas and shady trees for picnics. Families appreciate the playground featuring wheelchair-accessible swings and fun equipment, though cleanliness can be inconsistent, with some visitors reporting litter issues. Clean toilets are available nearby, but bring your own soap as dispensers aren't provided. The park's beautiful scenery and green spaces make it popular for relaxing walks, and its excellent public transport access and ample parking add to the convenience. The venue hosts major community events including the annual Chill Fest winter festival and New Year's Eve fireworks celebrations. A library sits nearby for those wanting to extend their visit. The atmosphere works well for both casual family outings and larger gatherings.
